Slingerland & Ludwig Snare Strainer Reference Matrix

Reference guide · measurements from photographed specimens · updated 2026-11-07

Strainers (throws) and butt plates are maker- and often model-specific: hole patterns and snare-bed geometry rarely cross brands. Find your maker below, match the era, and compare the example specimens before buying. Slingerland and Ludwig lead because that is where the stock is — every maker with a measured specimen is listed.
