Lug fitment is one number: hole spacing, measured center-to-center between the mounting holes in inches. Common vintage spacings include 6 3/4-inch snare lugs, 7/16-inch-spaced Radio King patterns, and the long Imperial bass-drum casings. Measure your shell before ordering — same-brand lugs from different eras drill differently.

Chrome over brass versus chrome over steel matters for both looks and longevity: brass-based lugs survive pitting far better. Era-correct lugs (keystone badge with keystone-era lugs) protect a drum's collector value; mismatched lugs mark it as a player.
