Vintage Cymbals

Vintage cymbals are bought by weight and diameter, not by model name alone: a 20-inch ride at 1950 grams is a thin, complex jazz cymbal, while the same diameter at 2400 grams is a defined rock ride. Pre-serial Avedis Zildjian B20 cymbals and 60s Paiste alloys have hand-hammering irregularities that give them the dark, trashy complexity modern machine-lathed cymbals chase.

Check for edge cracks, keyholing, and bell-hole cracks — all are shown in our photos when present. Weights below are listed in grams wherever the listing records them.
